Terms of Use
Effective October 23, 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Cattle Keeper app published by Cattle Keeper (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to them. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If these terms conflict with that agreement, Apple’s agreement controls for the iOS app.
1. Using the app
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use Cattle Keeper to keep records for your own farm or ranch. Do not copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app.
2. Current access and existing subscriptions
The current web release provides unlimited cattle and CSV, XLSX and PDF exports without a subscription. Billing and paywalls are disabled in this release. This does not automatically cancel a subscription previously purchased through Apple or Google. The following applies to any existing native-store subscription:
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically at the selected monthly or annual interval unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you purchase a subscription. You are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the paid period ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Access to the current web release does not depend on an active subscription.
3. Your records
Your records belong to you. Device-only records remain in that browser. Signed-in records are saved locally and synchronized to your account when online. Do not rely on an unsynced device as a cloud backup. Conflicting edits on multiple devices require an explicit choice of which herd version to keep. Export a backup before replacing either version. The current cloud snapshot limit is 20 MB per account; oversized herds remain local until reduced. You are responsible for keeping independent backups. Contact us for account and cloud-data deletion requests.
4. Not professional advice
Cattle Keeper is a record-keeping tool. Reminders and calculated dates, such as expected calving dates, are estimates. The app does not replace veterinary, legal or regulatory advice. Always follow product labels, withdrawal periods and your veterinarian’s guidance.
5. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or livestock, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
6. Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we will publish the new version with the app and update the effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
